QUADRAPODS – Spider Robots
The speedy development of #robotics technology is no more fiction.
FEATURES
The need of the hour is to understand the intricacies of robotics and robot making
Some of the basic robots we build, such as PICTO92 – the line follower robot – give an insight into the working of the technology itself in a simple manner. As the name suggests, this robot represents the spider movements without performing all the bodily moves intact since there are only four legs instead of eight.
This spider robot proposes an #android -based solution to assist security officers in defending their leader against enemy attacks. Once the data is received by the Node MCU device, it will act as a communication mechanism between the embedded module and the android app. The GPS interface on the module will track the location and communicate this with the user interface, along with the sensors’ outputs. As a result, it is possible to assess the real-time location. Temperature, gas, metal, and ultrasonic sensors are real-time monitoring sensors. Android devices collect frequent updates from the embedded device to which they are linked. This four-legged spider-like robot can navigate through rough surfaces and into any location using ultrasonic sensors.
The Block Diagram
The circuit uses an Aurdino NANO board and a Node MCU module. The front end is a mobile app which displays the output.

ADVANTAGES
The legged robots are more susceptible to rugged terrains!
It is outstanding that creatures can go over rough terrain at a remarkably higher velocity which is practically impossible with wheeled vehicles. Indeed, even an individual (by getting down on each of the four legs if necessary) can travel or climb over terrains inaccessible for a wheeled or followed vehicle.
It is of immense enthusiasm to realising what machines for land #locomotion can do with designed inspired from nature. Legged robots can be used for space missions on #extraterrestrial planets and in risky places, for example, within an atomic reactor, giving autonomous legged robots great potential.
In essence, with integration of the NI Smart Control & Automation System, the spider #robot system can monitor the surroundings, analyze the scenario, and plan and execute the appropriate action.
